Export to EDL unavailable

Export to EDL unavailable

I'm relatively new to EDL. I am trying to export my sequence to EDL, but the EDL option is greyed out and I don't know why. The sequence is only 2 tracks of video and 2 tracks of audio. No fades, filters, or motions. The clips are HD apple pro res format. What am I doing wrong?

Select the Sequence in your Browser or the Timeline and try again.

Hi -
Click on the Sequence you want to make the EDL out of in your bin, then menu File > Export > EDL.

That is what I do. Wherever I select my sequence the option to export to EDL is greyed out and unclickable. Whether from the timeline, from the browser, or from the file menu, all of them are greyed out.

Any other suggestions? I've restarted, I've searched for info on EDLs. I can't seem to figure out why it is unavailable to me. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Hi -
Sorry, I have tried a bunch of stuff and can't replicate your problem, so I don't have a lot of ideas for you.

Have you tried creating a new sequence, editing in some cuts of color bars and slug, and see if you can export an EDL from the new sequence?

Have you tried creating a new project, and dragging your sequence from it's original project into the new project and see if you can export an EDL from the new project?

Have you tried exporting the sequence via XML, then creating a new project and importing that XML file and seeing if you can export a EDL from there?

Have you tried trashing your preferences?
