Final Cut Timeline is Missing

I was just clicking on the re-size tab on the lower right corner of my timeline, and my timeline just disappeared. In my window tab, it says the timeline is open, and if I double-click on a sequence in the browser, it opens up in the canvas, but the timeline is till missing. I've tried opening other projects and also restarting my machine, but nothing is working. Can anybody help?
