cannot play HD movies

Today I purchased several HD movies from iTunes US store.
But I cannot play any of them on my iMac. All I got is a grey screen without sound or anything.
I don't know if this is only my own problem or what.
Any one knows how to make it work please tell me.

btw, in itunes store, it is stated as "HD movies for your mac or PC." If i don't get it wrong, this means that I don't need an AppleTV.

thanks a million!

You have of course done the obvious and repaired permissions using Disk Utility.

After that how about a reboot of the computer.

With Get Info - check the file and make sure you have access privileges for those files.

Then if none of that works contact iTS Customer Service via the links on this page - http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/
