How to edit out metronome from recording

I made several recordings using a microphone, with the metronome turned on. (I did not realize it was on) Now I am wondering how to edit the metronome out so I can hear the recording properly.

Well, there is a super-tedious way, if it's really that important: the metronome clicks will show as a spike in your audio region. Basically, just cut out that sliver of sound and replace it with a copy of the same size region just before or after the spike. It'll take some troubleshooting as you go to make it sound right, and it might not work in every instance - but then again, it might.
