The only thing different on my computer is that I installed VirusBarrier. Could this be messing with the wifi? Everything else on the computer works well. I can still get online, but there's obviously a problem here.
no doubt. may i ask why you installed an AV app on a Mac ? usually, the do more harm than good. FWIW, there are no viruses (as yet) that would affect a Mac.15"MBP SR C2D 2,4 GHz, 4 GB RAM / 17"PB G4 1,67 GHz 1 GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.1), TC dual 500 GB, AEBS (n), 2x AE (b/g), TV 40 GB, iPod Touch 2nd gen (OS 3.1)

Nothing changed, in fact, I was using my computer, firefox, and when I went to a new web address, I was redirected to Comcast's proxy server. I fixed that, but still have to select my network every time I wake up the macbook and the airport icon is an empty outline and says it is not configured.
advice appreciated.macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)
