Is it okay to delete ARDAgent.app?

I was running Disk Utility, I was able to fix one but the other one was called ARDAgent.app. I looked all over online and it said it was okay to put it in trash so I did. Would anything be affected by that? Someone please answer me. : )

ARD is the usual shorthand for Apple Remote Desktop, so that is probably some component of that program. Are you using the Mac in an environment that requires you or a system admin to access your computer remotely? If so, I wouldn't remove the app.

What specifically about the Disk Utility run said that the app was a problem ? If DU merely repaired permissions on that files, then there is not a problem.

I believe I answered your question in your other topic. You should not remove a component that Mac OS X installs. It may be OK if you never use that component, but something related to Apple Remote Desktop may not work properly if and when you try to use it. Apple Remote Desktop is involved in things like Screen Sharing, although I am not sure exactly what that particular component does.

Also, since you go that error using +Repair Disk Permissions+, you do not need to worry about it. Just ignore the warning message, as indicated in the Apple article I linked to in your other topic.
