Samsung 2443BW with Mac Mini ?

Hi,

I'm currently considering replacing my iMac 2GHz Core (1) Duo with one of the new Mac Minis, and have been looking at potential monitors.

I need to go up to a 24" screen size, as I especially need a screen with a larger vertical dimension. Has anyone got any experience of the Samsung 2443BW used with a Mac Mini, as it is considerably less expensive than the 24" Apple Cinema Display ? Or are there any compelling reasons to get the ACD ?

It would be used for general computing work, and doesn't have to support gaming, movies, or photography.

Chris.

Interesting coincidence ! That's exactly what I did. i just bought a Samsung 2443BW for use with Mac Mini for general computing purposes.

In fact, I took it a bit further to use as a dual display too, partnering it with a Dell Dell 2408WFP LCD Monitor

Here's photos of the monitor : http://tinyurl.com/ye429zs
And this monitor as part of dual display (left is Dell, right is Samsung): http://tinyurl.com/ya3wqdn

I am using a Samsung 2443 NW on my MM, along with an Acer 2202W.

They work well, but I am not happy with the imaging on the Samsung. I do a lot of Photography, and the Samsung is VERY critical about viewing angle, a few degrees, and you see a completely different set of colours. Not what I need. I got it at a very good price, so I am hanging on to it for now.

It's fine for general work, but not for colour critical work.

I will get the Apple LED screen when I am ready.
