I'm fairly new to Automator / AppleScript.
Is there a way to have it open an app on a specific display? I have a dual monitor setup.
there should be no need to do so with most apps. you can open an application and move its window to the other monitor. when you quit the app it remembers its last windows positions. when you open it next time it should open there automatically.Mac Pro 3.2 GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.2), Mac Pro 2.66GHz, powerbook G4 1.5GHz

I am having the same problem...
Under OS 10.9, I have a dual monitor setup with the Dock along the far right side (right side of right monitor), along with various program icons on the desktop. Opening a program always results in the window showing up on the right monitor, even though I move Safari to the left monitor and arrange various others to the left or right screen. I though those positions would be remembered for next time but no.
Ideas on how to make certain programs "stick" to one monitor when opening? I'm assuming it has something to do with two sets of menu bars, since under previous OS versions (one menu bar), this issue did not occur and my program windows reopened wherever I had them last.
