Mouse broke, do they replace it?

After only a year (wow, EXACTLY a year, bought my Pro today last year), the Mighty Mouse that came with my Mac has broke. NEVER has a mouse broke on me before, still even have my 1980's IBM mouse that still works, and am using it on my Mac Pro right now because the problem got bad.

The wheel on my mighty mouse constantly got stuck and dirty, despite me being a clean freak and washing my hands all the time.. I cleaned the wheel. Well, this time the wheels spring inside seems to have broke, so every click is a middle click, which makes using the computer impossible..

Can Apple replace this mouse, if so, how, since this model mouse has been replaced? I mean, never have I seen a mouse break, they are usually very durable.

Mac Pro, 2.8GHz 8x, 32GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.6.2), ATI Radeon 4870, OS X Snow Leopard and Vista

Its been less than two months since I bought an iMac and the mouse scroll button has already started to malfunction.

Apple must know there is a design problem with the mouse because so many of them are failing. If there is any negligence involved here, it is with the design team who designed the mouse that comes with iMacs. What were they thinking when it comes functionality? The roller ball is archaic in terms of a mouse and they didn't even consider that it might need to be cleaned! Duh!

The proper thing to for Apple to do is to replace these flawed mouse units for free with a mouse that works. If Apple does not do this, you can be sure Apple's rank in customer satisfaction will go down quickly. The last thing Apple should want is angry customers leaving bitter comments all over the Internet, especially since they advertise being number 1 in customer satisfaction.

I'll never buy another Mac comptuer if Apple won't take care of my mouse problem and if they don't, you can be sure I won't swap this crappy mouse for another Apple mouse. I just searched and found that Logitech makes a keyboard/mouse combo for Macs.
