Creating an Activation Server

iPhone in the Corporate Environment is Great, we would love to roll them out, I have been ask to do just that... but... I cant yet... here's why... please help..


We have 10,000 of the same Laptops in the field... Dell Latitude d630, windows XP SP2...

We have WhiteListing Software that prevents users installing anything that we do not approve... We can manage whats on their machine and make sure everything is Licensed correctly and what not...

I am NOT going to install iTunes on 10,000 laptops... Biggest headache ever...

Soooo, you just got your new iPhone... BUT, it needs to be activated... and it will need iTunes to do soooo... iTunes has a ACTIVATION ONLY mode, just plug in the phone, it will be used to activate it, then ejects the phone right after... PERFECT!!! BUT, I want this on a Server that can be RDP'd too.. RDP's and Pass the iPhone over USB... That way, anyone that gets an Iphone can just use the activation server to activate it and then never use it again, except maybe updating but we can have them use personal pc's to do just that...

Fabutech makes a wonderful USB rdp program that works flawlessly.. Unfortunately, it requires client end software... We cant install ANYTHING on the client end...

Anyone know of a solution that could work here?

Server side we could install anything... Windows Server, citrix, ubuntu, i mean anything that would work...

Just from WindowsXP SP2 to pass USB over the network without additional software... There any JAVA based web programs that can do that?

Any help is much appreciated... Shoot, a working solution that works in this enviornment i would send a free 3GS to them...
