Question

iPod touch screen will not flip when turned sideways

My iPod when i turn it to either side it wil not turn. It still works with no problems. I've tried everything from restarting to restoring. This problem is very aggravating if anyone can help I'd be much obliged. Thank you.

Do you have any applications that depend on the iPod's ability to turn sideways that you could test out and see if they work?

The free application iHandyLevel would be worth downloading and opening to see if the leveling capabilities respond when you angle the iPod. If not, you've got a hardware issue and the iPod needs to be repaired.

Mine has this problem once in a while - but restoring always fixes it. If a restore doesn't fix it, then a hardware problem is the most likely cause and you need to get the iPod repaired.
