Belkin N router

Hi Guys,

I am using DLink router for some time now but after 5 years , it just died on me so I had to buy a new wireless router. At this point could not find english software Dlink so I was force to buy the Belkin N router F5D8236-4 ver2.

The think is it works well with wired connection but could not get it connected with wireless . I check with Belkin support and tried all configuratios for 45 mins but to no avail, and finally Belkin told me to check with Apple since they told me the router works well with other computer(non mac) and my Iphone.

Check with Apple but my tech support priveleges expired so I am on my own.

Please help, any suggestion to get my mac connceted wireless?

thanks,
Neil

Before returning the router, please try the following:

Note: I will refer to the User Manual as appropriate.

o Change the Wireless Mode Switch = 802.11g only (ref: pg 40)
o Change the Bandwidth Switch = 20MHz only (ref: pg 41)
o Set Broadcast SSID (enable) (ref: pg 42)
o Set Protected Mode = OFF (ref: pg 42)
o Set 802.11e/WMM QoS Switch = OFF (ref: pg 42)
o Set Wi-Fi Protected Setup = Disabled (ref: pg 44)
o Set Use as Access Point = Disable (ref: pg 47)
o Set MAC Address Control = Disabled (ref: pg 48)

Please post back your results.
