I will be purchasing a Macbook Pr 13 inch and was curious how much it would cost to say a week or two later come back and have them upgrade the ram to 4gb from 2gb. If i were to do it myself would it void the warranty?
I just got my 13" and ordered it with 4GB installed but I don't remember how much more it was. You can go on the Apple web site and find out pretty easily.
No it does not void the warranty and it's not too difficult to do. There are instructions in the PDF manual that comes on the Macbook Pro.

Thanks for the info. The lady at the Apple store that i asked didn't seem to know what she was talking about when i asked if upgrading it myself would void the warranty. She said it would but after seeing the guide on the website i figured it wouldn't. Thanks again.
Best bet is to save the 2 gig you remove from the macbook.
This way if you ever need to send it in for repair, you can re-install the 2 gb and you won't need to worry about your ram being an issue.
