Nov 16, 2009 10:24 PM in response to BDAquaby chibilyn,The printer is apparently at 192.168.1.103. I have a Linksys WRT54G2 router. Is my IP safe to put here?
I just tried it on my other computer which is an intel based mini running OSX 10.5.8, worked like a charm. So the problem is with 10.4.11 or my computer? -

Your local IP should be OK, but it should be 192.168.1.x right? -

Nov 21, 2009 5:18 PM in response to BDAquaby PAHU,★HelpfulTo add the networked printer, you need to select More Printers > Canon IJ Network. If the 560 is correctly configured it should appear in this new view. And when you select it the Print Using will automatically be set to Canon MP560 series.
If the printer is not visible after selecting More Printer > Canon IJ Network, then either something is blocking this multicast or the 560 network settings are not set correctly. You can confirm the settings via the control panel of the printer. Device Settings > LAN Settings > Wireless LAN Settings List.

Nov 22, 2009 1:10 AM in response to PAHUby chibilyn,It's working now. I'm not sure what exactly made it work, I think it was a combination of getting the driver set up correctly using OSX 10.5.8, resetting the printing system as recommended by BDAqua and following PAHU's instructions, which I tried to do before this but didn't work at first. Thank you everyone! -

Jan 10, 2010 10:53 AM in response to PAHUby rezzz,Is there any reason to think that WPA2 security would prevent my printer from being hooked up wirelessly? Only because that I think is my only option left to try and disable the security and see if that works. I can't seem to get this printer to print wirelessly. The printer itself says it's connected, but I can't ping it, nor does it show up in my Attached Devices list on my router. -
Jan 18, 2010 8:29 PM in response to BDAquaby rezzz,What is the security on your wireless network? WPA2 Personal? Because I think that's why mine isn't working - I think that if I knock off the security on my router it'll work just fine.
I'd appreciate any help/info, thanks!! -
Jan 18, 2010 10:33 PM in response to rezzzby BDAqua,Hi there, quite likely if your Printer can't do WPA2.
Before it can get an IP from the Router, it has to be able to sign in with WPA2.
