iPod Nano 5th generation + Blaupunkt Car Adapter (Mini ISO) does not work!

Hi!

Last week I bought my first apple product "iPod Nano 5th generation"!
To connect this mp3-player to my Blaupunkt car radio I bought the original Blaupunkt car adapter!

Hmmm... after reading this board I understood apple changed the pin sequence of iPod Nano series and a lot of users (and I) have got a lot of useless accessories bought for former iPods which could not be used for the present ipod-generation...

Nevertheless I would like to use this iPod with this unique pin sequence together with my default car-radio.

Is there anybody in this universe who could tell me, where to buy a cable which connects this well-engineered ipod nano in 5th generation to my Blaupunkt car-radio (e.g. Mini Iso plug). I belief in cables, so any kind of fm-transmitter would only be a less-than-ideal solution.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm having the same problem. My iPod classic charges and plays fine. But my 5th generation Nano won't charge OR play. I have a Blaupunkt London MP48 with the Blaupunkt iPod Connector cable. I would expect the cable not to charge the iPod, due to the change from firewire to USB. But aren't the audio pinouts the same? Why won't it play audio thru the cable? Does the Nano 5G only play audio out the connector if it receives power thru the connector?

Same problem here. I just had a brand new model Alpine stereo installed into my truck and the 5th Gen plays, but does not charge as it is suppose to. The stereo is designed to work in conjunction with Apple, even has Ipod logo on the stereo screen. I think that it's crap that Apple once again squeezes more money out of the consumer. To boot they don't even offer a solution to fix the design error. What happened to having a charger included in the packaging? Since the older Ipod USB plugs do not charge this 5th Gen, you are forced to buy a wall charger. Another scam on Apple's part. I am a little dissapointed in Apple, to say the least!

Sounds like this Nano 5th generation is a problem! I had a Shuffle before and had no problems connecting via USB port to my JVC UX DAB11 stero and now with my Nano 5th G, it won't work. I'm very upset over this.

Then I went to plug it into my car (the Shuffle worked on the car stereo)stereo, a Ripspeed CMR 2000 and it won't play on that either. I get an error message. I wanted to upgrade to the Nano 5 G so I could have a screen, but I think I made a big mistake. Actually, 2 mistakes because I bought one for me and one for my partner.

Any help, other than returning both Nanos, would be of great help.

Thanks, Peg

PS- Music format was the same for the Shuffle and Nano.

i have trouble connecting mine to a kenwood ddx with ipod connector it will work but only after reconecting the cable several times if i leave it plugged in and turn the radio on with the ipod attached ,it sounds like the chipmunks are stuck in side my speakers i have really lost faith in apple i had to buy a charge adaptor so it wont go flat when its in the car and my video cable works perfectly for about a minute before the software says this accessory is not compatible (my arse more about screwing us to buy more of apples expensive cables)
