Magic mouse sticks/freezes

Anyone else noticed a problem with the Magic Mouse in that it seems to get stuck for a few seconds at time?

It'll work perfectly, then I can't move it left or right (only barely), you can click, it'll move up and down more than left or right but still not much, and then after about 10 seconds it'll work perfectly.

If you pick the mouse up and bang it down very lightly it comes back to life too.

Is it just mine?

I had the same problem with my old migthy mouse, working on mu MBP. In this case, the mouse didn't work well with my steel series Pad.

In my new iMac 11.1, I also veriry that i have some freezes, in the last days, situation that not happened in the first days. So I tested my old Logitech G5 via USB and detect the same problem. Finally I read that this problem can be caused by the second monitor, that I have connect yesterday, so I unplugged the mini-display port and seems that mouse work normally. Now I expect that apple solve this problem, and many others that we have when have a second monitor...

I'm having similar issues. Magic mouse movement is erratic at times (stutters, lags, etc) when I have an external monitor connected to my MacBook Pro and have the Macbook open to use its screen. If I close the Macbook and work in clamshell mode, there's no problems, and using just the Macbook with the mouse is fine too. It seems as though it's only an issue when both screens are being used at the same time. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I just discovered the strangest thing about this problem. Every now and thing I notice that my magic mouse freezes or stutters every few seconds. For awhile I assumed it was low battery, but after reading people talking about external monitors I did a little test.

My set up is a 21.5" (10,1) iMac 3.06ghz hooked up to a 22" westinghouse secondary monitor. Now, when the second monitor is powered up, I don't get the problem. The weird thing is that when I turn it off and use only the iMac monitor I get the erratic mouse movements. Not sure what this means exactly, but it's a strange problem that I hope Apple addresses.

I have exactly the same issue as posted a few days ago. As soon as I turn off my secondary monitor, the mouse becomes erratic and freezes/jumps every other second for a short time. It's driving me nuts!

As soon as I turn the secondary Monitor back on, everything works fine again...

Any help is appreciated!

I have same problem. My iMac+magic Mouse+wireless keyboard has been working with no problem. Recently I experience freezing+sticking all the time. Magic Mouse freeze in ca 5 minutes before it can be used again (it seems that the whole OS freezes with it as I can not use force quit the Finder)then for a while it is sticking and behave strangely. Repair permission, deleting the blueTooth plist did not solve the problem. I have no extra monitor neither I use bootCamp. I even disconnect the Magic mouse and connect the logitech wired mouse but this did not help either. I think this is a major problem on OS level. This weekend I'll reformate the whole system and see what happen as this is a extremely irritating bug.

Having similar issues with magic touch pad and magic mouse. Using MacBook pro 10.6.4 and Dell 22-inch external monitor. Mouse doesn't jump but it behaves as if (forgive me for using PC description) a right button is constantly clicked. If I move the mouse it highlights all the text it passes over. Also if I move over the task bar it will grab icons. I've turned off bluetooth and the problem goes away. Oh - I also have a wireless USB mouse connected and it works fine.

Any thoughts?
