network riddle???????

Hi all, we have a small office - 9 macs (5 wired, 4 wireless) on an 2 AX system. One providing wirless and the other extending the range. However, we do alot of file sharing and the wired computers cannot see the wireless computers on the network and vice versa. Am I missing something here? Is it possible to get them to connect? If not, is there a work around? Thanks for sharing any input.

You need to disable the router built into the Airport Express acting as the "main" base station in your wireless distribution system (WDS). Do this by unchecking the setting to "Distribute IP addresses" found under the Network tab of the Airport Admin Utility. After updating this setting to the Airport Express and waiting a minute then (a) power cycle the remote Airport Express and (b) restart all wireless Macs.

Notes:
1. this suggestion assumes your cabled ethernet network already has a router and DHCP server on it.
2. yes, your wireless network devices will continue to function exactly as they did before
3. ignore any error messages about disabling "Distribute IP addresses" on a base station with WDS enabled.
