I am using a iPhone 3G. When I receive a phone call and I try to connect to the HF 1000, there is at least a 5 sec. delay before I can connect. It is very frustrating to me and the other person as they think no one is there. When i was using a BB, there was no delay.
Any suggestions?
Thx.

If you have the latest firmware update, that might be your problem. Most of us if not all are having problems with the bluetooth connecting and disconnecting. No problem with 3.0 or 3.1. Hope apples fixes this soon. I have not tried it with my HF1000 yet, but I bet I will have the same problem. Try plugging your phone into the car charger and see if that fixes it. When I do that all works well. It only happens when the phone is in sleep mode.
I was mistaken with the model. I have the HF850. But it still takes about 3+ sec. with incoming calls for the phone to connect when it is ringing. Outgoing, no problem. It does not matter if it is connected to the power cord or if it is wireless.
Strange, though, that this only occurs with the HF850; I have used other bluetooth accessories with no problem. I am at present using the Motorola T505 . No problems
I also have the T505 but my iphone wih drop the bluetooth connection unless the iphone is plugged into the charger. It drops in then reconnects over and over. In fact I get this with all my bluetooth devices. If I am on a call there is no dropping.
