Assigning multiple IP addresses at Ethernet

Hi I need to access various pieces of equipment on my LAN some have ip address of 192.168.1.xxx some 192.168.140.xxx some 192.168.150.x some 192.168.160.xxx how do I do this with my iMac I know how to do this with a windows based pc or linux but cannot find a way of doing this with the mac ? please help

IMAC, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

System Preferences --> Network --> Click the + button --> Choose Ethernet from the Interface popup menu.
