can not drag music to iPhone

can not drag music to iPhone

hello all, I purchased a new record on iTunes and would like to have it on my iPhone. In the past I just drag the selected content to the iPhone and it syncs. But now when I drag the record the device listing does not light up as it used to do when I would add content. Thanks for any help and advice

Did you try to switch "manual managing music" on and off again?
Is your computer still authorized?

Yes, to both questions. I have even checked to make sure that nothing is set to sync. I can't add anything to my iPhone.

somehow or why mine has cleared up and is letting me drag to the phone,I do not know what made joy return but it has.Sorry for not following up with my situation,
it was clearly not letting me add/drag anything to the phone then suddenly it did.

Hmmm i had to restore my pc the other day and re DL itunes. It did the 3.1.2 update on my phone and now it will not let me drag any new songs onto my phone. It shows all my songs on my phone as well but it will not let me play them or edit them in itunes. My phone still works fine and the itunes work fine on the phone, but when i am on my pc trying to do anything it wont let me. Any ideas?
