G5 hard drive in G4

Hi there,
Is it possible to put a G5 hard drive (320GB) in a G4 Mac, and use it as the boot drive?

Only if the G4 has a Serial ATA PCI card.

Niel is correct. And a good card costs about US$65.

But one reader recently reported good luck with a cheap (US$14.99) little adapter to place a single sATA drive on a pATA Bus:
