Server Admin loses my servers!

What's the deal with 10.6 Server Admin losing all of my servers? I have to add them all again. ***? Anyone else having this annoying problem?

17" MacBook Pro 5,2, Mac OS X (10.6.2), 4 GB RAM, anti glare

Any proximate triggers?

Does another installation of Server Admin within your network suffer the same fate, or does just one box encounter this particular misbehavior?

(The 10.6.2 Server Tools tools kit just showed up. Tried that?)

Yep, all of them. I open it up, and it's like a fresh install on a new computer. No triggers that I can think of. I have used Server Admin all the way back to the Jaguar days and never had this problem. This is on my laptop, of course, whose mobility may contribute to this, but still what a pain! I will try the 10.6.2 tools.

Not a fix for whatever's happening here, but remember to export the SA settings.
Then you can re-import if SA happens to lose its brains again.

This was actually popular in 10.5, but again 10.6 seems to have the same issues. We have learned to close it when not in use.

I experience this issue on multiple machines, it is not isolated to any particular laptop that I access the servers from.

The one thing I have tracked down is that it happens when I “close” the server admin window as opposed to (or prior to) quitting server admin. Quitting server admin (with the window open) results in all of my servers remaining.

Check on yours to see if you experience similar behavior but that’s what I have isolated it to on my end.
