Does anyone have any recommendations for label software/shareware/freeware that will work with SL, and merge AddressBook addresses and make return address labels?

Thanks,
Glen

I had not check it out, sorry, but can Pages merge mail groups from address book into a labels format to print.....that is one of the things that I am really interested in.

I use Soho Labels from Chronos - although from Address Book V5 you can get to a preformed Label print that supports the Avery Label products.

For me, the answer is a combination of Apple's Numbers and Avery's Design Pro for Mac. Apparently they're both limited in what they can do, but plenty powerful for what I need. You can try Numbers, as part of the iWorks trial demo, for 30 days, and Avery's program is free. Once the cell headers are properly named in Numbers, you can simply drag info from Address Book, then edit or add as needed. It is ridiculously easy to add multiple people at the same address, and also very easy to mail merge this info into Avery's label program, by exporting the Numbers data as CSV. I found plenty of control in Avery to decide which fields would print where on the labels.

Are you actually trying to merge the addresses in Address Book with something else, or just print labels for putting on envelopes. If it's the latter, you can just use pearLabelizer, which is free.

You can check out Labels & Addresses, it is capable of importing addresses from different sources including AddressBook. And has a wide choice of label paper templates (Avery, NEATO, APLI, etc). Developer offers free trial version, so that you can see how it handles the task.

AddressBook will directly create mailing labels. Select multiple entries in your address book (or create a group and make sure you highlight the name of the group rather than any individual addresses inside the group) then "File" -> "Print...".

You'll see all sorts of options (it'll print direct to envelopes, or it will print to sheets of mailing labels (lots and lots of common brands & formats supported).
