Entourage 2004

iMac 2.8 24"OS 10.6.2
I have been using entourage 2004 for many years and for the last 1 year+ on this mac. One AM last week when I turned my Mac on my email failed to retrieve via entourage. I get the following message, "An unknown error (-3211) occured". This message occures on all my accounts and in both send and receive. I called AT&T, (my ISP), and they confirmed my settings are correct. I am able to send and receive on all of my accounts via the apple mail app. I prefer entourage for it's integrated mail, calendar and address book. Also, I am comfortable with entourage. I have an Apple protection Plan, but their tech was not able to help with entourage. Mactopia does not send the validation email to enable me to post a question.
Help!!

When I open the network preferences there is no TCP/IP tab, but there is a field called DNS Server, but the #'s are light greyed and not clearable. When I click on this field the #'s disappear but the Apply button is light grey and not active. When I click the Advanced button there is a TCP/IP tab, but there is no DNS Servers field on this screen. There is a DNS tab, under which there is a list of DNS Servers but they are light grey, not changable and there is no apply button on this screen. When I clicked the + button under the DNS Servers field the light grey #'s disappeared, but they are still on the Network preferences screen and now clicking the Apply button does no good. I still get the same error message from Entourage.
Any more suggestions, or am I not understanding what you are asking me to do?

Sorry but both the network and accounts preferences are unlocked. I tried locking and then unlocking but the buttons and fields I mentioned are still greyed out.
I tried the link you referred me to and tried turning off norton but I still could not use entourage to receive or send mail and I still get the error 3211. Also, when I first contactedmy ISP At&t their teck told me to turn off norton and it did not solve the problem.
Any thoughts about reinstalling entourage, or is this not a good idea.
Any other ideas will be appreciated, thank you

I seem to have stumbled on to the solution. I turned off Norton Firewall Location Awareness, Connection Blocking and Application Blocking, but I left on the 3 Advanced Settings. When this was done Entourage works OK. I turned on the Firewall settings in the Security Preferencs.
The Security Preference Firewall was previously off and the Norton Firewall was on and my Entourage worked before AM 11/18/09. I see that Norton sent down a product update PM of 11/18/09. Could this update have caused a problem after my mac was restarted AMvb11/18/09?
Any help and anyone else who has had this problem and found the Norton fix to work a reply would be appreciated.
Thank you
