Ipod classic + Universal Docking Station

my last dock's remote didn't work either. after buying battery after battery, i figured the remote was broken. i bought a new dock, assuming that remote would be just fine. the ipod still won't respond to the remote. it's also no plugged into an aux hook up. any help?

Is your remote control a new one? If so, have taken the plastic sheet above the battery ?Have you checked the battery?
