+I own an Regular iPhone (2G) running on OS 3.1.2.+
+Last year I bought an Apple Remote online which was introduced as a device compatible to iPhone and iPods. However it should use by an Apple Universal Dock.+
+I use my Apple Remote when my iPhone is on its original Apple Universal Dock but it doesn't work while my Apple Remote works on a Mac.+
+Do I need an Apple Universal Dock which it's equipped by a receiver?+
