Logitech Clearchat wireless headset's USB dongle prevents boot

Apple, please fix your driver for Logitech Clearchat wireless usb headset! When the dongle is plugged in before booting (from shut down or doing a restart), my iMac either won't ever make it to the Apple logo on gray background or it will take a VERY long time.

Logitech says it's your driver, not theirs:

workaround for others with this problem: unplug the dongle, boot, plug it in. Works fine once the machine is on.

2009 3Ghz 24" iMac, Al Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
