How do I delete things off my homepage?

This is driving me insane! I really want to delete the Stocks application, and I would like to delete some of the internet page bookmarks I accidentally put onto my homepage. How? When it is synced in iTunes, I've tried dragging the icons to the Trash, but they just show up again. Please help!

You cannot delete stocks or any other app that came with the iphone.

Hold an icon until they all shake, then hit the "x" in the corner to delete the icon.

You can find this in the manual.

Although you can't delete Apple supplied apps, you can move them to another page.

Touch any icon until an X appears in the top left corner of all the deleteable apps, and all the apps wiggle.

You can now delete the ones with an X or drag the Apple apps to another screen.

Pressing the Home button when you are finished will put the phone back into normal mode.
