30GB ipod classic 5th generation

Somehow i cant sync movies into my ipod, have been trying to convert its into several types of files, but the only supporting files are mp3 and wav. my friend with the same type of ipod, but another OS dont got this probem, is there anyway changing the OS to the new one ;P? means the ther version of the ipod classic, that ongoing on ipod nano and the others.

woud be helpfull with a bit information xD please answer 🙂

There are some confusing things in your post that need clearing up so someone can help.

First of all, there no such thing as a 30GB iPod classic 5th gen.

Secondly, mp3 and wav files are audio files not video files.

What OS are you referring to? If you mean the iPod, then there is no way to put software from one iPod model to another different iPod model (i.e. from classic to 5th gen iPod, or nano to 5th gen iPod).

2. mp3 and wav are maybe audio files, but i meant that thses are the only files that will sync into my ipod, if i try something else like MPG4 or AVI none of them works.(have tried to many types of files now, so MPG4 and AVI is just some examples)
and forget about the OS part, was in a hurry when i wrote all this ;P

As was pointed out in that article the "Classic" designation did not begin until the release of the 6th Generation (aluminum) iPod. The 5th Generation with Video is just that and all previous incarnations keep their name (iPod) with Apple and in these forums. A wiki article claiming all those models now carry the name "Classic" doesn't make it so and it makes it confusing in the forum.
