I've just noticed this in my dock.can't open it thru finder either. just wondering what it is...

Grab is Apple's screen capture app. When it is open it does not have a window like other apps, but it should be appearing as an open app if you look up to the menubar. You can choose the type of capture you want from the Capture menu or through the indicated key combos.

Hi Zeekster

Grab is a program used for take screenshots, it does not have a window like other Applications. Once you click on it go up to the menu bar and select Capture, then choose Selection, Window or Screen and take a snapshot. For more info select Help > Grab Help on the menu bar.
