Built-in webcam won't connect to imovie

(1) Your Mac's iMovie 6 > Help should explain. If you can't find it there, see:

  http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iMovie/6.0/en/imv1127.html

(There is no "shutter" on your inbuilt iSight. That instruction is only for external iSight.)

(2) Once you get into iMovie, if you need more help, select your iSight from the camera choices button as shown here:

 

This image shows the name for my external iSight. Your inbuilt iSight have a different name.

(3) If you have problems using your iSight, consider all relevant suggestions from
  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090

(4) If every app except iMovie works in every user account you test, reinstall iMovie from iLife '06.
