I just bought the new iMac 27 inch and I can not install my scanner either. I have a Canon - CanonScan LiDE 35. I have gone on Canon's website and downloaded all the drivers and extra stuff that is needed to run this scanner. it says that the driver is good on 10.6 platform.....

After I have downloaded all the drivers... I still cant find the actual plug-in to put into my Photoshop CS4 Import Export folder!!!!

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong???

I need to have a scanner... if I had to get a new scanner... what would work on Snow Leopard 10.6.2?

Driver should work. Though 10.6.2 might have broken it. Try changing USB ports, make sure it is going in direct, not through a hub (powered hubs should work, but just to sure...)

My 8600F works fine, they released new drivers for it within a month of 10.6 coming out.
