Preview of JPG files do not preview

Hi,
I am having a problem with my jpg files. Regardless of the view I use (coverflow, list, etc.), when I choose the jpg file, no preview of the jpg image appears. For example, when I am using coverflow, pressing the spacebar yields no image...only a black background with a thin line down the center (which I am guessing is suppose to be the jpg image).

This is very annoying! To view the image, I have to open it in the Preview Application. What is causing this, and what is the fix?
Thank you,
FMW

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I am using 10.6.2. Following your suggestion, I did create a new jpg. Opened as it should. So, must be the "old" jpg's, although they worked fine until, now that you mention it, I updated to 10.6.2. Do I need to "re-create" all the old? Yikes...there are quite a few! Any suggestions?
Looking forward to your response.

Hi
I am having the same problem, the image does not appear in the main preview box, it is shown in the sidebar window but you cannot drag it into the main window, I have tried tiff and jpg but to not avail, the only way I can import into main window is converting the picture into eps (but it then automatically converts to a PDF format before importing), I am running 10.6.2, any ideas
