Embedding pages document in e-mail?

I develop a stellar document on pages and then I want to embed it into an e-mail and send it out rather than put it in the e-mail as an attachment. How do we do this?

Only one page can be "embedded" at a time. In older versions of Mail you could drop a PDF file directly where you wanted it in an e-mail and the first page would automatically be displayed in your message. However, if you are using the latest version of Mail, doing this will only create an attachment. What I would do with a multipage PDF document would be to open it in Preview and then "Drag 'n Drop" the individual pages you desire to include in your e-mail from the Preview icon drawer to the body of your Mail document.

hmmmm, I have to think about this and tinker with it. Would it keep the formatting? If I am sending something to someone who does not know me I doubt they would go to an attachment, that's been my experience. I want to create something in pages and have it seamlessly show up in the body of the e-mail. Cutting and pasting it into the e-mail screws up the diagrams and limits pictures and sidebars that pages is capable of. . . . If there was an import command that might flow the document into the body of an e-mail that would be ideal- I am curious if anyone has messed with this before?

You weren't listening.

Jon said to drag in individual .pdf pages, which of course would retain their formatting.

There is no way to guarantee how people will receive their emails. Each email client treats attachments differently.

You are definitely heading up the wrong path by trying to embed actual Pages files. Even if that was to work, how many people at the other end will have Pages to open it with?
