RAM Upgrades?

Hi I plan to upgrade my RAM. I have 2.4GHz processor Core 2 Duo. I have 2 GB 1067MHz DDR3 RAM. What is the max this computer will support? I'm not enjoying the slight lag/load times in-between programs. I hope this will help.

Also can anyone also recommend the Brand of ram and specific model to use?

Thank you!

Mac OS X (10.6.2)

The maximum is 6GB but you will have a substantial increase if you move to 4GB. Unfortunately RAM prices have been on the rise. I've supplied links to the upgrades and this RAM is guaranteed to work for your model.

Apple supports and advertises a 4GB maximum but the unsupported 6GB definitely works. Also the 1066/1067MHz difference is negligible and will not cause a problem. As mentioned, MacSales.com only sells tested and guaranteed upgrade and replacement products.

Personally, I have 4GB installed (OWC brand) and don't feel that I need additional RAM.

I'm not familiar with gaming RAM... sorry.

I have a G5 1.8 dual processor that has 4 double slots. Currently, I only have two filled with 256 each. I am looking at trying to optimize my system and add as much RAM as I can, optimally. Does that mean that I should simply add three more double 256's, or can I go with more? And if so, recommendations on the configuration..........like lose the current and go with 4 new doubles...etc.
Thanks for any guidance.
