"Secure Empty Trash" of my emails possible?

Thanks, sounds like a good idea. But a query.

If I'm following you, it sounds like a nuclear option - Secure Erase the free space of the HD (mine has 38 GB available) to kill 2 MB of emails.

Time wise that could take a while, no? When I Secure Erase a large amounts of files on my desktop it takes a while...
