Software Update GONE WAKO!

This is kinda weird. At first, after updating to snow leopard, I simply thought that HP was being very prolific with their update-writing, seeing as every few days, I got another "HP Printer Driver Update" via software update. Then, I realized that it was the same update - over and over. Software update has been providing me with the HP Printer Driver Update version 2.3 for weeks now. Before I noticed, I had installed that same update 9 times!!!

So then, I decided to just ignore software update - which I realized a week later had been stupid after missing two actually important updates (along with, I'm sure, several redundant HP ones).

What can I do?

Thanks!

*OK - this one for the record. (I just spent an hour on the phone with the AppleCare)*

If this happens to anyone:
-go to Macintosh HD>Library>Printers and delete "hp"

-go to Macintosh HD>Library>Receipts and delete anything that has "hp" or "Hewlett-Packard" in its name (these items vary from computer to computer)

-go to Macintosh HD>Aplications>Hewlett-Packard and run the HP uninstall app.

-go to System Preferences and if it has not already been done, delete the OfficeJet 7410 printer from the list in the "Printers" pane.

-Restart

-Add the printer, and this time, don't install any 3rd party (that is, hp) software. You will be forced to make a 70mb download, then the printer will be installed. No other software necessary. In fact, just about all the functionality is included in the download.

Open software update and SHABANG! no more hp printer driver update.
