Unknown Error 4200

For about 4 months, I have not been able to burn CDs with iTunes. I've tried the slowest speed & reinstalled iTunes. As soon as it is about to start, "Canceling disc burn ... may take a minute or two" pops up & it stops. I've been to a computer repair shop. I was told that the burner works & it's a software issue.

Can you burn a CD with another program on the same computer, such as Nero or Windows Media Player?

Repair man says: "Your computer burns CDs.. i just burned some of your itunes files to a CD and was able to read the CD on yours and another computer.. there is no issue with your burner"

He used the Windows burner.

So in case it wasn't already obvious, the problem is in iTunes.

You might imagine that since iTunes gave you Error 4200, you could look in iTunes support and do a search on "4200" and get some useful input. You'd be wrong.

You can try some of the tips that are posted at the top of the Importing and Burning Forum. Be prepared for frustration. Personally, I would just use another burning program, which, as your repair person pointed out, works fine.

Yes, I really want to use iTunes. But, I can use Nero. Maybe, an update will fix the issue. But, it's been a long time already. Thanks.
