iPhone display friendly discussions layout

As you must have noticed that many websites are deploying iPhone specific layout of their webpages and some are building even web apps. I would love to see discussions customized for the iphone's screen. Like posts that automatically wrap text to the screen edges in both portait and landscape and easily accessible buttons for reply, new topics, settings, etc. Which won't require repeated zooming in and out of the pages. The gmail page for iPhone is a good example. Intact an app that's meant for discussions would be awesome. Push notification would tell users when there are replies to their posts or threads they have subscribed to. Some thing that's an iPhone experience.
