Asante AL5403-XG Card dead after update
Hi,
I have an older Titanium Powerbook (G4 500). I bought an Asante FriendlyNET AL5403-XG card direct from the Apple online store to add wireless capability to this laptop. The orignal Airport card isn't available and I thought my best bet for long term compatibility was to buy what Apple was offering as a replacement.
I've had the card for about 9 months. I recently did the 10.4.3 update and today after I did a restart the laptop doesn't recognize the Asante card at all anymore. The power light on the card doesn't come on and "About this Mac" doesn't recognize it either.
Sigh.
Any ideas? Does anyone know how to contact Apple re: warranty? I can't see any links on the Apple site for components, just links for whole systems.
