iPhone USB/Ethernet Adapter for travel

hi.

when travelling, we frequently arrive in hotels with complementary ethernet access to the internet, but no wifi.

does anyone know of a USB-ethernet adapter which could be used with the iPhone?

failing that, does anyone know of a plug-n-play miniature ethernet-wifi adapter (modem/router/bridge)?

cheers,
Gregory

Stedman,

very cool and very quick with the response.

I forgot about the Express. if there's nothing cheaper, then it's probably the best solution. any companions with an iPhone could also access the internet through the same network.

there would be a few stipulations for using it in a hotel though, right? the Express would have to be configured at home before travelling while connected to my Mac. we would also have to assume that the hotel's ethernet network is set up as DHCP. I wonder if this is a realistic assumption. probably?

thanks again.

cheers,
Gregory

I'd love to hear if someone produces such a thing as well, but not for the same reason - I'd LOVE to use my iPhone as a network scanner and tool. If I could just plug it in, I could check so many functions of a network without having to lug my notebook into the job.

This would be even cooler with the new iPad - some really significant tools could be put into play.
