Hughesnet downloads ?

I recently upgraded to Hughesnet "Elite" satellite internet service
Problem is: it limits downloads to 500MB per 24/hrs, then you get yoked with their "fair use" scheme (they sell more bandwidth then they can deliver)
Any movie is ~1 Gig+
Hughes does have unlimited download volume from 2AM to 7AM
Hughesnet offers a download manager for Windows only.
There are other "download managers" available on the web, but no reference to iTunes.
Does anyone know how to schedule an iTunes movie download at a later time?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.2), Satellite internet connection

Here is a possible workaround (note: I haven't tried this yet)...

1) Purchase the movie you want to download from iTunes.

2) When iTunes starts downloading it, immediately pause the download.

3) Use System Preferences to set up your computer to start up at the start of HughesNet's Download Zone (3 am, I believe).

4) Again in System Preferences, make iTunes a startup item, so that it automatically launches when your computer boots up.

5) Before going to bed, shut down your computer.

In theory, this should cause your computer to:

(A) Boot up at 3 am.

(B) Launch iTunes.

(C) Resume your movie download when iTunes opens up.

However, (C) may be the problematic part. I am not 100% certain that iTunes will automatically resume your paused download when it relaunches. This might require creating a script (e.g. in Automator) which in addition to launching iTunes, selects the Store tab and resumes your download.

If someone is tech-savvy enough to create such a script, please let us know! (If I can manage it myself, I'll post it.)
