Well that mostly depends on what you need. I just bought myself a VholdR ContourHD 1080p camera. It is really small and really light. My MacBook seems not to have enough processing power needed for handling full HD videos. Anyhow on 60fps it is really beautiful even at much lower resolutions.
Although I have to admit it needs quite a lot of light. In pitch black darkness using only my car's headlamps on full beams, there will be only some lonely bright spots from reflectors on video. But at daytime and in sunlight the video quality is really stunning.
