Windows 7 compatibility "Before the end of the year." What does that mean?

They've got twenty days left.

Has a release date for the patch been posted anywhere?

Mac Pro Dual 3ghz, 3 G ram, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

It means we are all waiting (not all) for the boot camp update so we don't have to do all these funky work arounds. Although I don't think the boot camp update will be the end all of updates, it will make me feel better about installing Win7 on my i7 machine.

For now, it's just remote desktop to the PC and wait............

I didn't have much too do using Win7. I just updated my NVIDIA driver--which gave me the ability to run the WEI and the NVIDIA control panel.

WEll, if you really are running 10.4.11 with 3GB RAM, then you are likely out in the cold, not supported, and running 32-bit Windows 7 I take it. And not even Snow Leopard??

So why not mention "I want to install 7 on a new iMac" would be clear.

And the new iMac is an excellent candidate for Windows 7, especially Core i5/i7s.

Well now they are down to just 3/4 of one day. Hopefully they will at least update their support statement to give a better prediction.

I doubt apple will release the update before the end of the year! Ha! Don't get it why they say one thing and don't follow through....I guess i do that to chicks so.. 😉
