Splitting keyboard input to play different instruments

Hello,
I have a Yamaha portable piano, and there is a "SPLIT" button on it. When I press this, the lower octaves of my keyboard play one instrument, and the higher octaves play another.

I was wondering: is there a way to do this in Logic Express 9? For example, all the notes lower than C2 play a bass ES2 instrument, and the higher octaves play a piano?

Thanks,
Michael

There was absolutely the same question here some time ago. Have a look at this [LINK|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10462661&#10462661], where I give detail step by step instructions.

PS. The provided Youtube video is quite different topic about "Mapped Instrument" where it is comfortable to map the pitch and outputs of a given pad. In the same time it is after the sequencer so your incoming notes will be recorded in the original octave and you will audition in the target pitch, which may mess you. So I do not recommend this method...
