Same problem started 24-48 hours ago. Tried the hosts and DNS flush as recommended to no avail. Downloaded and re-installed Itunes. Other desktop will connect to the Itunes store but my laptop will not over the same wireless/ISP connection. Seems like a software issue with just this device but I cannot locate what it is. Out of the ordinary in my experience to leave the customer out here on a message board looking for a fix.

I'm having the same problem. My proxy box was not checked. I tried repair but still cannot get to Itunes store. Did the diagnostics and it says I can connect but all I get is "accessing Itunes store" on top of page." Once in a while a get a sort of scrambled store. I begain having this problem when I purchased a new nano and had to update. Any more suggestions?

I had the same issue and I found a fix which has worked for me - it was to do with my firewall setting. I'm using Windows 7 and, not being a techie, don't know if the route to the firewall settings is the same on Vista, XP, etc but try this....

Go to Control Panel > Systems & Security > Allow A Program Through Windows Firewall

You should now see a list of programs on your pc, some checked/ticked and others not. On mine, iTunes was ticked on the 'Home/Work' column but not on the 'Public' column so I ticked the 'Public' column too, restarted my PC and the problem was solved.

Hope this works for you.

-Try flushing the DNS settings:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1527

-Make sure ssl 3.0 and tls 1.0 are enabled in the advanced internet options:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1470

-You could also try unchecking "check for server certificate revocation" in the advanced internet options.

-You could also try to check this:
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1814

-Restart your computer after these steps and then test with a free song or video from the itunes store homepage if possible

-if none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is probably your anti-virus/firewall, web filter, spyware blocker, etc.

-try updating these softwares and if all else fails try a new user account (administrative privileges) or uninstall/reinstall anti-virus software.
