well i thought i was all set-after doing the windows checkdsk and a full uninstall and reinstall of itunes, itouch was recongnized and completly synced. all of my music was put on itouch.
well then my battery died on the laptop and when i pluged it back in, i got a different error 0xE8000065 and now it is not showing up when i connect it.
i am so frustrated. i bought 3 of these and am ready to send them back!
please help!

+Try them with a different computer. If they work then the problem is with your laptop.+ the other 2 work on my work computer-this one doesnt work on mine, works, friends and sons

+Are you connecting to a hub or directly to a port on the Toshiba?+ direct port

+Just a note, not a good idea to connect and sync while the battery is low on a laptop.+ battery good

so i tired again this am and it was not recognized. i did the holding the sleep button and home button thing. this made itune recognize it but said it was an ipod in restore mode. i clicked to restore no i got "The iopd could not be restore-unknown error 6011"

unknown error occured (0xE800000A)
