Rotating just one layer in Photoshop-possible??

Photoshop: Is there a way to rotate only one layer in a photoshop document when you are cutting and pasting an image together? Or should I try this in illustrator? I am much more exp in photoshop and page layout programs, but am just getting back into graphic design after about 8-9 years out of the field due to illness. Any help would be appreciated.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2), using CS3 package

In Photoshop?

Select the layer. Press command and T (free transform), You can either enter a value in the angle control box from 0-180 to rotate clockwise or a minus value to rotate counter-clockwise.

Or... go to one of the corners ot the transform marquee, move your cursor just outside. It will turn into a bow with an arrow on each end. Drag in any direction. Click on the check mark in the toolbar or press return twice to finish up.

Or did you want the instructions for Final Cut Pro?
