Whenever I restart it the apple logo just stays on the screen for like Ever! It's simply doesn't proceed further untill I reset the phone. This one time it even showed the 'plug to itunes' screen for a brief moment and the suddenly started the phone normally. Any idea what's wrong?
And now that I have restarted apps won't work. Only the bundled ones work. I know as soon as I sync the phone with iTunes they will start working again but imagine this happening when you are on a trip and are left with an iPhone that doesn't launch any app!
Reset yes. Restore No. This app not launching fixesas soon as I sync with iTunes. Do u think a restore would permenantly fix the issue? Also, should I restore from a backup?
It seems your are not the only one I have the same problem as you. I have removed all stored data (pitures, emails, etc) restored all settings and reinstalled all phone information. Checked for updates everything i could think of to solve my problem, but it only lasts for a while. Problems i have are slow response on any app, sound goes down by it's self, screen shots(which a great thing when you want to do it) when i press the home button, wanted to shut down in the middle of a call, and the dropped calls. All this since i updated my phone to 3.1.2 update.
My carrier is Rogers and my phone is a G3 which i had for year and half.
So anyone have a answer i really don't want to replace the phone.
It required patience, and a full restore from an original ROM rather than a backup. It appeared to be caused by a corrupt system file which gets copied across to the backups and gets reinstalled with restore if you restore from backup rather than original ROM.
Right now, while I'm writing this, the iPhone is hung on the apple logo screen. Its like taking forever. No how do I do a full restore without the iPhone powering on!?
