remove a song from a playlist

How to remove a song from a playlist and add it to another playlist?

*Note :*
*the song should not be deleted*
*the song to be moved to another playlist*

I did add the song to another playlist. But still it appears in the current playlist.
Any ideas?

Tharakesh, iTunes is designed so that a song can be in as many playlists as you wish. If you want a song added to a playlist, you add it. If you want a song removed from a playlist, you remove it.

In iTunes playlists are just pointers to songs in the library. A playlist is not a physical instantiation (like putting songs in a folder would be). Hope this helps.

Thanks Ed for the reply.

So if I select a song in a playlist, right click and select 'Delete', hope it doesnt delete the song from the folder, rather just removes the song in the playlist.Am I right?

Yes, if you delete a song from a playlist it will NOT be deleted from your library.

A playlist is just a filtered view on your songs so to speak.
